Dusty Attic October Challenge

For this challenge I decided to go for GOLD and have some lusciousness in colour and depth. I used Dusty Attic chipboard and either cut into pieces of painted it with rust effects and alchemy paints. String and string leaves were made using distress embossing powder which gave it a rustic look and feel. My Flowers were sprayed and painted depending on the colour that I wanted and the background was embossed using a favourite stamp of mine and chunky gold embossing powder. Finally I finished off with liquid pearls randomly dotted on the background.

My main page picture doesn't really show up the richness of colour however the small detail picture show up the wonder shine and glossiness.

Kraft Plus Challenge - October

This challenge sent me looking through all of my old scrapping supplies to find some things that I just wasn't using any more. I found eyelets, an old Carl star punch, scraps of paper and even some leftover canvas letters.

I wanted to create a page that represented the retro look of these items as well as still acknowledging my change in style since I first started scrap booking - my love of mixed media. I also wanted to add some of the Marvel Comic look that I felt that the mood board contained.

For some reason the colours did not photograph very well however the smaller photos show the brightness of the page in more detail. I hope you enjoy.

September Kraft +Challenge

I thought that I would go for fresh bright colours that represent my ideas and thoughts of fresh melons and gelato ices.

Dusty Attic - August Challenge: Delight

I love all things green, aqua and earthy colours so this was a challenge that got me inspired as soon as I saw the mood board. To ramp up the texture of the main pieces of chipboard, I used rust effect paste and aged it even further by adding a little bit of gold.

August Kraft Challenge: Tassels - Live Life

This challenge was a fun one for me. The colours were bright and cheerful and I also got to think outside of the box when including a tassel. I liked the idea of making a tassel using one of my favourite mediums: gauze.

July Kraft Challenge - 'On my own terms'

This is my first entry for a Kraft Challenge. I love using kraft paper is it was a wonderful opportunity to have a go at creating my interpretation of the challenge mood board.

I love mixed media so it was a chance to get out all of my pastes, paints and stencils.
